Yosemite
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference. Since my wife had to spend some time near the Bay Area for work, we decided to take advantage of the opportunity and turn a weekend into an escape to Yosemite National Park. My wife had never been before, and I hadn’t visited in over 40 years—so it felt like the perfect time to rediscover this iconic place together.
At first, we talked about heading back to Napa and touring California wine country again, but we've done that plenty of times. Lately, we’ve been on a solid streak of exploring national parks, so Yosemite seemed like a natural next stop.
For transport to the Bay Area we will be using United like usual as we live in Houston and its one of their major hubs.
For lodging, we opted for AutoCamp Yosemite—a modern twist on the camping experience. It looked like a fun and stylish spot, and honestly, who doesn’t have a soft spot for Airstream trailers? We've stayed with Under Canvas at both Glacier and Zion National Parks (as a note Zion is a much nicer Under Canvas than Glacier..) and figured it was time to try something a little different.
As we are going in August we needed to get park reservations using Recreation.gov
